My experience as a patient, caregiver, community educator/advocate, and expertise as a hematology-oncology nurse practitioner have motivated my work as an extraordinary independent health advocate. I have witnessed poor communications, suboptimal medical team coordination, lack of patient understanding, and other healthcare navigational issues lead to medical errors for my family, friends, and patients in the clinical setting. I spent the last 2 decades striving to become the best health advocate for myself, family, and people all over the United States and abroad.
