Nice To Meet You!

Welcome! I'm glad you're here. Our office serves diverse patients living with serious and terminal illnesses, providing value in these focus areas: Communication Education & Information Coordination Navigation Reflecting on what matters most to you Facing uncertainty Making your own decisions with confidence Advocacy means closing the gap between the ideal and the real. To this end, I support my clients in confidently communicating their values and choices within the context of patient rights. Our True North belief is that healing should be available to the whole person, as the illness journey reflects one's quality of life. This continues to be true whether or not the ill person's independence can be restored. However, there is a related truth: we must clarify what's important for ourselves before asking others to understand. If you aren't sure what your values are, I can support you in clarifying those for yourself first and then for your family and care team. I would love to advocate for you in meetings and appointments with your providers and family. You may schedule virtual advocacy from the hospital or SNF and receive real-time question suggestions, strategic talking points, notes, and communication support. Book an intro call, and let's talk soon!

A Bit About My Approach:

Our inclusive work emphasizes whole-person autonomy for self-regulated, emotionally mature clients and their families. This level of professional consultancy, using SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely), best suits the cognitive and social needs of professionals seeking guidance while managing their illness journey or that of a loved one. Investment: Choose from a ten-hour renewable retainer or a monthly full-access retainer. Services are subject to our availability and working hours. After a 45-minute meet & greet, you may ask additional questions before signing our required contract. Next, you may schedule your 90-minute comprehensive assessment. During this meeting, we will discuss anticipated goals in more depth, along with your personal values, experiences, and needs as a patient (or those of your loved one). I will assess your healthcare configurations for social barriers and opportunities to improve teamwork. Once all these steps are completed, we develop and implement a plan. Our office provides advocacy consultation to clients with diagnosed illnesses who value honest communication and accept responsibility for their choices. Hourly consultation is available to provide navigation for inquiries outside our expertise, such as locating an attorney, formal ethics consultation, a specific faith chaplain, or a search for advocates specializing in dental, psychiatric, behavioral health, or international matters. We never accept kickbacks for any referral or navigation assistance.

What To Expect From Our Intro Call:

The first step is a meet-and-greet to get to know one another, focusing on your advocacy concerns and goals. During this 45-minute call, you will have my undivided attention while we each determine whether there is a potential fit. We'll discuss how I can help, so I recommend preparing a few key questions. For example, you could ask how a consultation can add value to your healthcare journey and how the process of working together would proceed. If everything sounds good, I'll send a contract, and we can schedule your comprehensive assessment. I look forward to meeting you!
