The healthcare system is complex, an experienced Advocate can help you have a voice in your personal healthcare journey.
Tara Bailey has been working in the healthcare services sector for over 15 years. Tara's mission to find solutions for families struggling to navigate the healthcare maze has earned respect and appreciation from her clients and peers alike. Recognizing the disjointed silo’s that make up the healthcare delivery systems, she has worked in various fields to learn the Medicaid, Medicare Home Health, Medical Private Home Health, Care Management and Advocacy services. By building a strong network of professionals in medical care arenas, she is able to be a bridge between those who provide community resource services and the professional medical providers. Tara was in the first cohort of testers in the United States to become a Board-Certified Patient Advocate. Today, she serves as a Board Member for the nationally recognized Patient Advocate Certification Board; Society of Certified Senior Advisors Examination Committee; Florida Chapter Aging Life Care Association; Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation; and is the Immediate Past President of the Space Coast Guardianship Association. Certifications include Certified Care Manager; Board Certified Patient Advocate; Certified Senior Advisor®; Certified Dementia Practitioner; and Certified Home Safety Specialist. After many years in the healthcare management fields, Tara has been a speaker for national and local organizations, has written print and digital magazine articles and works with financial planners, social workers, etc. and helps to mentor other advocates in the healthcare services industry. Tara’s skill sets include senior aging issues and navigation of community resources, medical billing concerns, adult disability (education and life skills assistance), hospital discharge planning; emergency planning and preparation, risk and needs assessments, home safety, and preparing for changes in home settings (including education on financial options for the costs associated with aging, medication, VA Benefits, etc.). Tara is able to assist families throughout the United States through consultation services via phone or video options, as well as in-person advocacy for those near the Space Coast region of Florida and in selected areas in southwest Georgia.
