Hello, If you have found me through Solace then I know you or a loved one must feeling frustrated, uncertain, guilty or exhausted, regarding some aspect of our current health care system. Thank you for your interest in Patient Advocacy. My name is Lori Schellenberg. I have been a nurse and a nurse case manager for over 40 years. I recently retired and started Stepping Stone Advocacy Services to assist you in navigating the complexities of our health care system.

I have a capacity to see the big picture when it comes to health care delivery. With decades of experience in home care, hospital care, rehab care and case management, I am familiar with all the "players" on the health care team and able to comfortably communicate and advocate for you, with all parties involved in your care. I know what questions to ask and how to push for treatments and the care you deserve. I understand the "criteria" hospitals use for discharge and will fight for the proper transition of care, for you or a loved one.

When you schedule an introductory call, I will confirm the date via message in Solace. For the first 10 minutes or so I will ask you about the problem you are having-what you need help with? I then will ask what you hope I can do, to help you, with this problem. If I feel that I can meet your needs, and you think we are a good fit, I will discuss how we get started. We will discuss the service packages I offer, and will base the packages on the amount of time I think it will take to accomplish the goals for services to meet your needs. Next I will provide you with a service agreement/contract through Solace. Once this is signed electronically, Solace will invoice you for payment. Once the payment is received I will commence services immediately.
