As a medical health navigator, I advocate for you by helping obtain, process, and understand the information needed to map out a well-defined path to purposeful care. Through my client-centered, professional approach, I will help you to: CLARIFY - diagnoses and interpret laboratory/diagnostic tests REVIEW -  medical history and medications to be sure there are no conflicts RESEARCH - diagnoses, treatment options, clinical trials, second opinions new providers/PCPs ADVOCATE - for patients to understand their diagnosis and treatment options RECOMMEND - alternative therapies or modalities, if applicable My skill set is ideal for assisting you and your family as you try to comprehend and plan your care. I will prioritize your healthcare needs beginning with these key elements: ~ Brief complimentary intake, usually a 15-20 minute phone call followed by a client agreement ~ In-person or virtual meeting and assessment of needs ~ Ongoing guidance and collaboration I provide objective medical insight. I am here to listen and to guide you one step at a time, whether for a one-time consult or multiple sessions. By navigating with you through the healthcare system, I communicate with providers, minimize stress and maximize your understanding of your diagnosis and treatment options. I may accompany you to medical appointments on a case by case basis and assist you in developing a list of questions for your doctor. Throughout this process I strive to improve your health literacy so that you understand healthcare terminology and thereby make better informed decisions, all while empowering you to be your own best advocate for excellent healthcare.
