Marilyn has had solid success in implementing innovative strategies in both the United States and Canada for change to support the patient experience. One of Marilyn's most valuable assets is her skill in connecting with every level in a complex healthcare system, providing her with the ability to establish trust and develop a deep understanding of overall culture and workflow. As a Board-Certified Patient Advocate, Marilyn has a deep understanding of the patient and family experience, providing a powerful lens through which to visualize and plan for success in navigating the healthcare system. Marilyns husband and partner, David Whitley, is a healthcare professional with close to 30 years of experience. As a respiratory therapist, David has worked with all age ranges including 10 of those years being in pediatrics and neonatal care. Davids most recent work was a respiratory therapist in a facility that houses intellectually and developmentally disabled persons.
