I spent 12 years helping patients navigate complex medical systems including the VA, Homecare, Palliative Care and Hospice settings. I have extensive experience supporting patients with chronic illness, new diagnosis, emotional support, advocacy, accessing resources, collaborating with the care team, short term and long term planning. I have been a caregiver myself. I understand the logistical, emotional and day to day demands of living with an illness, especially when it is complex. I helped my own family navigate the oncology world while also advocating for the resources we needed to ensure the best care possible and truly understand how difficult the journey can be.

As a MSW and Patient Advocate, my approach centers on empowering individuals to navigate the complexities of the healthcare system, ensuring they receive the highest quality care and support. I start by actively listening to your concerns, needs, and goals of you or your loved one. Understanding your unique situation allows me to tailor my advocacy efforts to your specific needs. From here, I will be persistent in pursuing the best possible outcomes, advocating tirelessly on your behalf even in the face of obstacles or resistance. I will provide you and your family with emotional support, recognizing that navigating illness or injury can be emotionally challenging. By offering empathy, compassion, and a listening ear, I can help you cope with the emotional aspects of the healthcare journey. I will always listen attentively to your concerns, fears, and preferences as we work together.
